Louise and Twid Turner are both International Mountain Guides. They bought Moel -y-Don, Trearddur Bay, as they both loved the beaches and cliffs of Anglesey. Trearddur Bay lies in a central location for both some of North Wales beach beaches and some of the wildest coast line of the British Isles. If you are a bird watcher, climber, walker, fisherman, canoeist, golfer or a family seeeking sun sea and sand the location of their cottage is perfect. Its also a short walk to many great pubs and restaurants.

Moel-y-Don


Our Holiday Cottage is well situated at the end of a quiet road on the outskirts of Trearddur Bay. Its a short walk to the main Trearddur Bay beach,400m, and some fantastic restaurants and pubs. 'The Sea Croft' winning Best Pub 2013 for Anglesey serves fantastic food,wine and real Ale in a pleasant family atmosphere.

The cottage has been renovated completely (2013) with central heating, solid oak floors and doors, it has a wood burner for those winter nights, surrounding garden with plenty of room to play in. It has a garage for storing wet things, boats, wet suits, buckets and spades etc. Rooms:
  • Fully kitted kitchen to cater for up to 6 people.
  • Dish washer, micro wave, toaster, 
  • Washing machine
  • Living room with a table to seat 6 people, seating for 6 people in front of a wood burner and TV. Sofa bed also.
  • 3 Bedrooms. 2 double beds and 2 single beds. All with duvet covers and 2 pillows per person.
  • Bathroom with bath and shower head over bath.
  • Entrance hall with coat hangers at door entrance,
  • A big picnic table for 6 on the rear patio. 
  • Herb garden
Walk to Beach
For a family or beach goer you can walk to several quality beaches in every direction. No need for getting into a car. The coast provides great water activites and there local hire shops for diving, fishing and canoes. For surfing you can access plenty of great beaches when the surfs up!
Shops
There is a Spar, Local shop, Chinese restaurant, cash machine and 5 other restaurants with in easy walking distance. Holyhead is only 5min drive away and has shopping galore. Apart from the shopping main high street you have an Asda, Tesco Extra, Big Morrisons, Pount Stretcher and Iceland all within a quick hit. Valley is 5 min drive and has a 24hr Spar, Curry house and great chip shop. Tesco deliver!
Getting to
Getting to Moel Y Don is very straightforward by car off the fast A55 dual carriageway that cross Anglesey. Best take the Pen Rhos turning past Morrisons. The main line train station has direct trains to London Euston and you can take a bus direct from the station in Holyhead to Trearddur Bay. The Bus stop is about 40m from the house on the main road.
